Biography

Miss Summer's favorite EL Design Principle is "Success and Failure". She tries to teach her kindergarteners that making mistakes is great and that it helps us learn: there is no shame in failing! She also helps them celebrate when someone is successful. She loves to read and try to crochet and knit. She spends a lot of time with her big family, – especially her nieces and nephews. She taught pre-school for 4 years before moving up to Kindergarten. Miss Summer graduated from University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Early Child Education.
