Teachers work together to create exciting Learning Expeditions, which include key texts, field work, service learning, expert visits, and special final projects, making learning fun and meaningful for every student. Kindergarten Expeditions include Toys & Play, Weather Wonders. and Trees are Alive!
In Toys & Play, students learn about toys, playing and sharing (see link below). Weather Wonders gives students a chance to delve into weather and how it affects people while participating in activities such as an online meeting with an expert from the National Weather Service and making blankets for the homeless. The Trees Are Alive! Expedition finds students diving into the fascinating world of living things and their needs for survival and growth while visiting the butterfly biosphere, meeting with an expert, building bird feeders, and writing an informative essay.
