Specials help kindergartners build creativity, coordination, focus, and a love of learning. They strengthen reading, listening, and problem-solving skills while encouraging teamwork and confidence—all in fun, hands-on ways.

Students learn songs that reinforce what they're learning. They also learn and practice songs for events such as our Veterans' Day programs and Celebrations of Learning.

Art
Our art teacher plans special projects that support the curriculum and help reinforce what the students are learning in addition to teaching new creative skills. These projects are often used as part of the final products in their Celebrations of Learning.
Book
Library
Students are able to learn about books and literacy through fun lessons and activities prepared by our librarians. Kindergarten students are able to check out one book per week.

Students have the chance to exercise, move, and learn rules of different sports as well as practice sportsmanship. Occasionally they are able to participate in special competitions such as a jog-a-thon or jump rope competition.
