Inspirations Contest |

Our school is participating in the Inspirations Contest!!! The theme is The Power of One. Students may individually submit their original work in 8 areas: Visual art, photography, musical composition, theatre, 3D art, literature, film/video, and choreography/dance. All submissions are due Jan 20 by the end of the school day. Entries are divided into divisions according to grade level: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Winning entries in each category and division will be sent to the regional competition. Winning entries from the regional competition will be sent to the state competition. For more information, please print out an inspirations entry form and the official contest rules, or pick them up from the front office. |

PE voluteers |

PE Volunteers: 2nd grade is looking for parent volunteers to teach PE to our students. We are open to any day of the week from 1:00-2:00. Currently, PE is not a priority in our planning agenda, but it is definitely necessary with these students seeing how much energy they have to expand in the classroom. We would love your help in teaching PE class once a week. We are certainly open to your lessons/game ideas, please let us know. You don’t have to teach PE regularly/weekly- once in a blue moon is better than none! Let us know! Thank you! 2nd grade team |

Kindergarten Supplies Wish List |

Parents, Below is the Supplies and Wish List for the Kindergarten. 12”x12” Scrapbook page about your child (Family, Interests, Etc…) with:
1 wallet size close up (face) photo of Kindergarten child alone
1 3½”x5” or 4”x5” photo of family with full names listed
1 box #2 mechanical pencils (twist-up)
1 box of twist-up crayons
1 box of twist-up color pencils
1 pack of multi-color construction paper (loose sheets please, not glued on top)
1 large bottle Hand Sanitizer (we will go through at least 2 small bottles a week)
1 box of Kleenex (we will ask for more later when we need them)
1 box of Zip-Lock Bags: Girls- Quart Size, Boys- Gallon Size
10+ Miscellaneous small items or toys that can be used as motivational prizes.
We are asking for a $25 donation to cover the Portfolio notebook, “Magic Bag”, Read With Me notebook, 1 lap size Imaginetics Gel Board, homework folders, clear plastic sheet covers, Crayola markers, scissors, glue sticks, Dry Erase Markers, “Magic Eraser” disposable cleaning sponges, and a magazine box. (This saves you the hassle of driving around to the several different stores necessary to purchase these articles.)
***All supplies will be community property.*** NOTE: Kindergarten children will use folders and small kindergarten book bags only. Backpacks are not needed. Please do not send a book bag or backpack with your child at this time. |
